American indie rock band the Wrens was formed in New Jersey in 1989. The band was founded by Bissell, Greg Whelan, Kevin Whelan, Jerry MacDonald and since that time, the line-up hasn’t changed. The initial band’s name was Low. The band even released a 7” under this name but later they changed it, as the same-titled group had already existed. Thus, they chose a new name the Wrens. The band released two albums Silver (1994) and Secaucus (1996) before a long hiatus, which was caused by the problems with their recording company. Finally, they released their next long-awaited album the Meadowlands. It came out in 2003. The album was praised by the critics especially on Tiny Mix Tapes, Pitchfork, Allmusic, Planet Sound and others. You can download the Wrens’ last album in mp3 from our site. Currently the band is working on their next album.
