Biography

Whitesnake are an English rock, heavy metal, hard rock and blues-rock band that was formed in 1997 by David Coverdale and they currently consist of David Coverdale (lead vocals), Doug Aldrich, Reb Beach, Uriah Duffy, Timothy Drury and Chris Frazier. They emerged on the British hard rock scene in the early 1970s with their debut EP, Snakebite, which brought the band a contract with United Artists record label. Their debut studio album, Trouble, was released in 1978 and debuted at number 50 on the U.K. Chart. In the early 1980s, they released their best selling self-titled album, which yielded several hit singles including "Still of the Night", "Here I Go Again", "Is This Love" and "Give Me All Your Love". The album also reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified platinum eight times in the US and five times in Canada. The album's lead single, "Here I Go Again", reached number one on the Canadian Singles Chart and became the band's most popular hit.
