Jamaican rock, ska, rocksteady and reggae band The Wailers was formed in 1963 in Kingston, Jamaica. The original band members were Bob Marley, Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, and Cherry Smith. The band broke up in 1974 and most of the original members have already deceased except for Bunny Wailer and Beverly Kelso. The band is known as a springboard for the solo careers of Bob Marley, peter Tosh and Bunny Livingstone (Wailer). All of them reached the significant popularity, as reggae was more and more popular those days. The band also achieved success with such songs as "Simmer Down", "Trenchtown Rock", "Nice Time", "Stir It Up", "Get Up, Stand Up" and some others. There are 14 records in the Wailers discography.
