Biography

American indie rock and pop punk band The Thermals comes from Portland, Oregon. The band was founded in 2002 by two friends Hutch Harris and Kathy Foster who had known each other before they founded the band. They performed together in a folk duo Hatch & Kathy. The band went through line-up changes and the current members are Harris, Foster and Westin Glass. The band’s discography includes four studio albums, five singles and extended plays, two live albums and 5 compilations. The debut album More parts per Million was released in 2003. The next album Fucking A came out in 2004 and The Body, the Blood, the Machine appeared in 2006. This album earned them recognition. It was produced by Brendan Canty from Fugazi.
