Biography

Steve Dawson is an English folk, pop, rock pop and country music singer, songwriter and musician. He was born on February 24, 1958, in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. He quickly gained popularity in the late 1970s with his breakthrough first album, Wheels of Steel, which produced several singles such as "Motorcycle Man", "Stand Up and Be Counted", "747 (Strangers in the Night)", "Wheels of Steel" and "Freeway Mad". It also received very positive reviews from critics. At the same year, he released his follow-up album, Strong Arm of The Law, which peaked at number eleven on the UK chart and it has been certified gold in the UK. In 2008, he released his latest album, Waiting For The Lights To Come Up, which yielded his new hit singles such as "Dry As Our Luck", "Fire Somewhere" and "Walkin' Down the Line".
