American alternative and industrial rock band Stabbing Westward was from Chicago, Illinois, the United States. The band was formed in 1985 by two college students Christopher Hall and Walter Flakus. The band began recording only in 1990s and they broke up in 2002. The line-up wasn’t stable though the founding members always remained. The final band members were Christopher Hall (vocals, guitar), Walter Flakus (keyboards), Jim Sellers (bass) and of Andy Kubiszewski (drums, guitar, keyboard, backing vocals). The peak of commercial success is connected with their album Wither Blister Burn & Peel. It received gold certificate and was supported by such singles as "Shame" and "What Do I Have to Do?"
