Biography

English rock band Smokie was formed in Bradford, Yorkshire, the United Kingdom in 1965. The band’s original line-up composed of Chris Norman - lead vocals, rhythm guitar, Alan Silson - lead guitar, vocals, Terry Uttley - bass, vocals and of Ron Kelly – drums. The band’s style has been always different during their long career and it can be classified as rock and roll, glam-rock, soft-rock and proto-punk. The band’s “Golden age” was during 1970s when the band rose to fame throughout the Europe. During that time, the band’s vocalist was Chris Norman. After a decline of the band’s success, he left the group in order to embark on a solo career. Smokie’s most popular songs are Stumblin’ In (with Suzie Quatro), Living Next Door to Alice, Baby It’s You and Needles and Pins. From our site, you can download Smokie’s Greatest Hits in mp3.
