Biography

American hardcorepunk group the Scream was formed in Washington D.C. in 1981 by brothers Peter and Franz Stahl, Skeeter Thompson and by Kent Stax. The band split in 1990. Kent Stax leaved the band after the recording their third album Banging the Drum. The local drummer Dave Grohl joined the band and played with them till the end. Later he joined Nirvana and helped Grunge to be the sound of 90s. Dave Grohl formed commercially successful group Foo Fighters and Franz Stahl briefly joined Grohl’s band in 1997. Scream released five studio albums and several compilation albums. You can download Scream’s the first two albums Still Screaming and This Side Up in mp3 from our site. The band toured a lot in Europe. Their German show in May 1990 was released as Your Choice Live Series Vol.10 by Tobby Holzinger.
