Rockin' Squat (birth name Mathias Crochon) is a French hip hop mc and rapper. He was born on December 25, 1978, in Paris. He is well known as a brother of the worldwide popular actor Vincent Cassel. In the mid-1980, he created the French popular rap group Assassin. This band was noted for using politics and social problem in their lyrics. They achieved mainstream with their songs such as "Esclave 2000", "Sauvons la Planete", "Ecrire contre l'oubli", "L'objet" & "L'Entrave a nos Jouissances", "Peur d'une race", "Democratie Fasciste : Article 1 & 2" and "France a Fric". They also became the first French act to mention different social problems including slavery, ecology, political problems, women's prisoners, women's rights, racism, African colonization among others. As a solo artist he gained popularity in 2007 with his breakthrough album, Too Hot For TV, which yielded the singles, "Too Hot For TV", "France A Fric", "Quand Ce Sera Le Guerre", "Illuminazi", "Crack Game" and "500 Ans".
