Robert Leroy Johnson, known as Robert Johnson, a blues musician, was on born on May 8, 1911 in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, USA, and died on 16 August 1938 (mysterious circumstances). He is also best known as Legendary blues guitarist of "Crossroads" fame. According to his legend he sold his soul to Satan "at the crossroads" in exchange for his remarkable talent playing guitar. He incorporated part of the crossroads story in many of his songs. In 1936-37 he recorded at least 29 songs in Texas (San Antonio and Dallas), which became the only his record heritage. Then he returned to Mississippi to play and sing in clubs and bars. His remarkable blues hits like “Cross Road Blues”, “Hellhound on My Trail”, “Love in Vain” are popular even today.
