Biography

Richie Sambora is an American rock and hard rock singer, songwriter and musician. He was born on July 11, 1959, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, United States. He was interested in music since his childhood. When he was only 12 he started playing guitar. During that time, he was inspired by music of Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, Jimmy Page and Joe Perry. In the early 1980s, he rose to fame as a guitarist of a rock band Bon Jovi. In 1991, he released his debut solo album, Stranger in This Town, which spawned several singles, "Church of Desire", "Stranger in This Town" and "Ballad of Youth". This album was produced by Jon Bon Jovi, Desmond Child and Diane Warren. Stranger in This Town also received critical acclaim. He continued the success with his following solo album, Undiscovered Soul, which yielded the singles, "If God Was a Woman", "All That Really Matters", "You're Not Alone", "Who I Am", "Downside of Love" and "Undiscovered Soul".
