Biography

Jim Heath, better known under his moniker Reverend Horton Heat is a bandleader of the band with same name. He is also the band’s founder and founded the band the group in 1985. The band comes from Dallas, Texas. The current band’s line-up composes of Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath – guitar and vocals, Jimbo Wallace – upright bass and vocals, and Paul Simmons – drums. Stylistically, the band plays rockabilly and psychobilly. The band began releasing the albums since 1990. That year saw their debut album Smoke ‘em if you Got ‘em. In total, they have released 10 studio albums, two compilations, several singles and two DVDs. The band’s music found the way to the mainstream. They appeared on the soundtracks for movies Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Love and a.45 and for video games Guitar Hero 2, Motorstorm and others.
