Reba McEntire, birth name Reba Nell McEntire is an American country singer, songwriter, record producer and actress, born on March 28, 1955 near Kiowa, Oklahoma, the United States. She holds the record for the number of Academy of Country Music Awards (seven) and for American Music Awards as Favorite Female Country Artist (twelve awards). She has her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She began her career singing with her siblings on local radio shows and rodeos but then she embarked on a successful solo career. The breakthrough success happened in 1984 when she released her second album, My Kind of Country. The album yielded two hit singles number one “How Blue” and “Somebody Should Leave”. These singles were the first ones in the range of her next top hits which smashed the charts in 1980s and in 1990s.
