Biography

German power metal band Primal Fear comes from Esslingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The band was founded in 1997 by ex-Gamma Ray vocalist Ralf Scheepers, bassist and vocalist Mat Sinner from Sinner. Later, other musicians were recruited and the first completed line-up composed of guitarist Tom Naumann and of drummer Klaus Sperling. The band’s name was taken from the film, which Ralf Scheepers had recently seen. The band recorded demo tape that allowed them to sign a deal with Nuclear Blast Records. The debut band’s album Primal Fear came out in 1998. The second album Jaws of Death was released in 1999. The band supported the album touring not only in Germany, but also in other European countries, in Brazil and in Japan. They performed at such festivals as Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock (UK) and Metal Meltdown (USA). You can download the first two albums by Primal Fear in mp3 from our site.
