Paul Weller, birth name John William Weller, is an English rock and soul singer-songwriter and musicians born on May 25, 1958 in Woking, Surrey, England. He is known as the former member of such groups like the Jam and the Style Council. Since the beginning of the 1990s, he is a very successful solo artist. He has released ten studio albums and he has established himself as one of the most popular singer-songwriters of the Great Britain. He received BRIT Lifetime Achievement Award and won BRIT Awards for Best Male Solo Artist in 2009. He cites such bands as his influences – The Beatles, The Kinks, The Who, The Small Faces and others. Many artists cited him as influence including Oasis, Blur, Arctic Monkeys, The Enemy. Wellers nine solo album 22 Dreams debuted at number 1 on the UK Albums chart.
