Biography

Pacifier is a rock and industrial rock band that wad formed in 1988 by vocalist Jon Toogood and drummer Tom Larkin, and currently consists of on Toogood (vocals, guitars), Phil Knight (guitars, synthesizer, backing vocals), Karl Kippenberger (bass guitars, backing vocals) and Tom Larkin (drums, backing vocals, samplers). The band's music has always been rooted in metal. They were on a New Zealand tour with the The Datsuns during the Christmas/New Year period 2006/07. And also supported Evanescence in part of their 2006/2007 world tour. They achieved mainstream success in 2002 with their breakthrough album, Pacifier, which spawned several hits such as "Stranger", "Run" and "Bullitproof". The album's single, "Bullitproof", peaked at number 27 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks, and number 37 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks.
