Biography

Mingo is an American ambient singer, songwriter and composer. He was born on 25 October 1971, in Colorado, USA. As a teenager, he began recording experimental electronic music. Later, formed the band called Punked out Pansies, which was active for four years. This band produced two successful tracks, which received airplay on several radio stations in the Midwest. Punked out Pansies also had professional relationships with Suicide band. In the early 1990s, the group disbanded and Mingo began to collaborate with a local promoter of music, Joshua Lockey. They started to perform as a duo. Later, they along with Matt Smaldino organize a promotion company, which promoted different events around the Midwest for seven years. Mingo became popular as a solo singer in 2000 with his album, The Once And Future World, which spawned several singles, "Between the wave", "Time turned new" and "Hollow ascension".
