Biography

English alternative rock band Lush from London, England was formed in 1987. The band’s original line-up composed of Meriel Barham (vocals), Emma Anderson (guitar), Miki Berenyi (guitar), Steve Rippon (bass), and Chris Acland (drums). At the beginning, the band was called The Baby Machines. The band disbanded in 1998. At that time, they overcame a real tragedy – band’s drummer Acland committed suicide. The band released four studio albums and released several compilations specially for Japan and Canada, two of the compilations were released worldwide. One of them is Ciao! Best of Lush containing some of the hit singles, like Ladykillers, Light from a Dead Star, Nothing natural, Sweetness and Light, De-Luxe and some others.
