C. S. Lewis, full name Clive Stapple Lewis was born on November 29, Belfast, Ireland and died on November 22, 1963 in Oxford, England. He was an English writer, scientist and Christian apologist. He was born in Ireland, but spent most part of his life in England. He finished school in 1917 and enters the Oxford University. However, he had to quit studies because of the First World War, he was rolled in the Royale Army. After the injury he was demobilized and this allowed him to continue his studies in the university. In 1919 he publishes collection of poems under the title “Spirits in Bondage”. Later he was philology teacher, English and English literature teacher. In 1931 he became Christian and this affected his works and life. He is remembered for the children fantasy series “The Chronicles of Narnia”. You can download C.S.
