Biography

Australian alternative rock band Kisschasy from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia was formed in 2002. The band members are Darren Cordeux (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Joel Vanderuit (bass), Sean Thomas (lead guitar) and Karl Ammitzboll (drums). The band’s line-up is an original one. The debut album United Paper People was released in 2005. The band went to Seattle, US in order to mix the album and worked there with Barrett Jones who had previously worked with such bands like Nirvana and Foo Fighters. The album spawned singles "Do-Do's & Whoa-Oh's", "Face Without a Name", "This Bed" and "The Shake". The debut effort was certified Gold by ARIA. The band has released two more albums – Hymns for Nonbeliever (2007) and Seizures (2009). The last album yielded a hit single “Generation Why”.
