Joe Cocker (birth name John Robert Cocker) is an English blues, rock and blues-rock singer, composer and actor. He was born on 20 May 1944, in Sheffield, England. He is also known as Vance Arnold. He quickly gained popularity in 1969 with his debut album, With a Little Help from My Friends, which yielded the singles, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", "With a Little Help from My Friends", "I Shall Be Released", "Just Like a Woman" and "Feelin' Alright".
