Biography

Jamey Johnson is an American country music singer-songwriter. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. He, after graduating high school, attended Jacksonville State University, the same university from which Alabama lead singer Randy Owen graduated. Johnson quit college after two years, and served in the Marine Corps Reserves for eight years. After exiting the Marines, he began playing country music in various bars throughout Montgomery. One of his first gigs was opening for David Allan Coe. In 2008, he released his most successful album, That Lonesome Song. The album's first single, "In Color", was nominated for Best Country Vocal Performance—Male and Best Country Song at the 51st Grammy Awards, and won Song of the Year at the Academy of Country Music awards. It also was number 38 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2008. From our site you may download Jamey Johnson's best selling album, That Lonesome Song, in mp3.
