Ian Broudie is an English alternative rock and britpop singer-songwriter and producer. He was born on August, 4 1958, in Liverpool, England. He is best known for his 1990's alternative pop and rock band The Lightning Seeds. Previous to the Lightning Seeds, Broudie was involved with other bands: firstly Big in Japan, followed by Original Mirrors and then Care with Paul Simpson. He subsequently concentrated on production for other bands working with the likes of The Coral, The Subways, The Zutons, French rock band Noir Desir, The Rifles, before announcing a solo album under his own name at the end of 2004. His first solo album, Tales Told, was released in 2004. The album produced twelve songs including "He Sails Tonight", "Smoke Rings", "Got No Plans" and "Always Knocking".
