Biography

English rock band The Hollies comes from Manchester, England. It was formed in 1962 and since that time they have never announced officially about break-up and the band continues to play nowadays. The line-up has been changing greatly through the years and the current band members are Tony Hicks (guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, keyboards, vocals), Bobby Elliott (drums), Ray Stiles (bass, vocals), Steve Lauri (guitar, vocals), Ian Parker (keyboards, woodwinds, backing vocals) and Peter Howarth (lead vocals, guitar). The band has released quite a number of albums and hit singles. The band’s number one singles in UK are "I'm Alive" (1965) and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother” (1988 - reissue). Their other popular songs include Look Through Any Window", "I Can't Let Go", "Bus Stop", "Stop! Stop! Stop!", "On a Carousel", "Carrie Anne” and others.
