Biography

Hella is an American math rock, noise rock, experimental rock and indie rock band that was formed in 2001 and currently consists of Spencer Seim on electric guitar and Zach Hill on drums. Their name is simply a reference to the slang word "hella" that is common throughout Northern California and has no deeper meaning. In 2005, the band expanded their live band by adding Dan Elkan on vocals, rhythm guitar, and synthesizer and Jonathan Hischke on bass guitar. In 2006, Dan Elkan and Jonathan Hischke left the group. The following line-up included Josh Hill, Carson McWhirter (of The Advantage), and Aaron Ross. In 2007, they released their fourth and latest album, There's No 666 in Outer Space, which was released by Ipecac Recordings. It is the first Hella album to feature an expanded five-member line up and is also the first to feature vocals on every track. And now, you may download Hella's latest album, There's No 666 in Outer Space, in mp3 from our site.
