Biography

One of the world greatest science-fiction writers of all time Robert Anson Heinlein was born on July 7, 1907 in Butler, Missouri, the United States and died on May 8, 1988 in Carmel, California, the United States. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke are often regarded as “the big three” of the science-fiction. Heinlein started to write quite early and hу earned his fame already in the 1950s. At that time he was considered one of the most influential contemporary authors. During his 48-year career, he wrote 32 novels, 59 stories and 16 story collections. Some of his works were adapted for films, television and radio. Some of his most popular works are Stranger in a Strange Land, Farmer in the Sky, The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress, Starship Troopers, Double Star and others.
