Biography

French flamenco music group Gipsy Kings was formed in Arles, Provence, France in 1987. The group composes of Nicolas Reyes (lead vocals), Paul Reyes (back vocals, guitar), Canut Reyes (back vocals, guitar), Patchai Reyes (back vocals, guitar), Andre Reyes (guitar, vocals), Diego Baliardo (guitar), Paco Baliardo (guitar) and Tonino Baliardo (lead guitar). The group consists of the members coming from two families. Their ancestors moved to France from Spain during Spanish Civil War in 1930s. They belong to Spanish Romani people and popularize their national music around the world. The group achieved considerable international success.
