Biography

American funk and jazz band Galactic from New Orleans, Louisiana, the United States, was formed in 1994 as Galactic Prophylactic including vocalist and guitarist and later the band turned into instrumental sextet consisting of guitarist Jeff Raines, bassist Robert Mercurio, drummer Stanton Moore, saxophonist Ben Ellman and Hammond organist Rich Vogel, later adding Theryl DeClouet on vocals. The band’s sound was changing through the time beginning from New Orleans funk ending with something modern and with incorporating different music styles like electronic, fusion, jazz and hip hop. The band has released seven studio albums and they are often seen on tour. They are keen on inviting their fellow New Orleans musicians for live performances. You can download Galactic’s live album We Love ‘Em Tonight (Live in Tiptina’s) in mp3 from our site.
