Biography

Friendly Fires were formed in 2006 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, the UK. The group plays dancepunk and synth-pop. It composes of 3 members Ed Macfarlane, Jack Savidge and Edd Gibson. They reached popularity in 2008 with their singles which became hits immediately. They are Paris, On board, Jump in the Pool, and Skeleton Boy. These tracks you can find on their debut album "Friendly Fires" which is available on our site for downlaod. The band got two nominations as Best Breakthrough and Best Dancefloor Filler. The group considers Kompakt, Carl Craig and Prince to be their main influences. Friendly Fires will re-release their debut album and a single Kiss of Life is to be released on August 31, 2009. The band toured around Europe, Japan, Mexico, the US and Canada. They are currenly signed to XL recordings label.
