Biography

British rock, blues-rock, boogie rock and hard rock band Foghat was formed in 1971 by Dave Peverett (guitar, vocals), Tony Stevens (bass), Roger Earl (drums) and Rod Rice (guitar/slide). The band’s line-up changed for many times and the current line-up composes of Charlie Huhn – rhythm guitar, vocals, Bryan Bassett – lead guitar, Craig MacGregor – bass and Roger Earl – drums. Two of the original members - Dave Peverett and Rod Rice - died in 2000. The group disbanded in 1984 when Peverett left it, but Earl, McGreagor and Cartwright reunited, hired a new vocalist/guitarist and toured as Foghat in the 90s. However, the original line-up reunited again under pressure of the producer Rick Rubin. The band’s best-selling album Live was released in 1977.
