Biography

American R&B and rock and roll pianist and singer-songwriter Fats Domino, birth name Antoine Dominique Domino was born on February 26, 1928 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the United States. He is one of the most respected musicians and one of the most recognized. He was also one of the most important figures during the rock and roll era and he influenced the music in 1960s-1970s. For example, John Lennon and Paul McCartney recorded his songs. Ray Manzarek (The Doors keyboardist) mentioned him as influence as well. Some of the most famous Domino’s songs are Ain't That a Shame/La La, Blueberry Hill, Blue Monday, I'm Walkin'/I'm in the Mood for Love and others.
