Biography

British rock band The Enid was formed in 1975. The original lineup consisted of Robert John Godfrey, Stephen Stewart, Francis Lickerish and of William Gilmour. Since that time, the band underwent several changes with Godfrey always being the band’s core. The current members are Jason Ducker, Dave Storey and Max Read and Robert Godfrey. During such a long career their music didn’t find commercial or musical success though their works have been often played on the BBC Radio One’s Friday Rock Show. The band took some classical music in their works and Godfrey said that it was as anarchic as anything by Sex Pistols. Their genre can be described as symphonic rock. The band has released many albums, including Final Noise (live album), Tears of the Sun, Tripping the Light Fantstic and many others. You can download these albums by Enid in mp3 from our site.
