Biography

American rock band Dope was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1997 by leading vocalist and song writer Edsel Dope. The current line-up of the band consists of Edsel Dope, Virus, Angel and Derrick "Tripp" Tribbett. The band is known to fuse the hard rock sound with industrial rock, they name Nine Inch Nails and Ministry as their main influences. The band has released 5 studio albums - Felons and Revolutionaries, Life, Group Therapy, American Apathy and No Regrets. You can download Dope’s albums in mp3 from our site. The lead guitarist of the band Virus teaches bass/guitar at Paul Green School of Rock and writes music for Disney, Activision and ESPN. Edsel Dope and Virus took part in alternative rock side project called Makeshift Romeo. The band plays not only their original songs but they recorded covers on Dead or Alive’s You Spin Me Round (like a Record) and on Depeche Mode’s People are People.
