Donna Summer (birth name LaDonna Adrian Gaines) is an American pop, dance, disco R&B, rock and new wave singer and songwriter. She was born on December 31, 1948, Boston, Massachusetts, United States. She achieved initial success as a participant of the Broadway musical, Hair. In the early 1970s, she released her debut single, "Sally Go 'Round The Roses". Several years later, she joined the rock and pop rock band Three Dog Night. During that time, she met two record producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte. They helped her to sign a contract with the record company. She achieved international success in 1977 with her fifth studio album, I Remember Yesterday, which yielded several hit such as "Can't We Just Sit Down (And Talk It Over)", "I Feel Love", "I Remember Yesterday", "Love's Unkind" and "Back in Love Again".
