The Dixie Chicks is an American country and bluegrass music band that formed in 1989, in Dallas, Texas, U.S. The group consists of Martie Maguire, Emily Robison and Natalie Maines. The band was originally composed of four women, but after the departure of one bandmate, the replacement of their lead singer, and a slight change in their repertoire, the group achieved massive country music success. In 1998, the Dixie Chicks released their most successful album, Wide Open Spaces (1998), which you may download in mp3 from our site. Three singles from the album, "There's Your Trouble," "You Were Mine" and "Wide Open Spaces", reached first place on the Country charts. The album was also awarded 2 Grammy Awards out of 3 nominations. The band's next album, Fly, in 1999. It produced two hit singles, "Cowboy Take Me Away" and "Without You". The album also received diamond status by the RIAA. Fly also won Grammy awards and honors from the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
