British chamber pop, baroque pop and alternative rock band The Divine Comedy was formed in Derry, Northern Ireland in 1989 by Neil Hannon. The band has been fronted by Hannon since that time. Its line-up isn’t stable and included in different time such musicians like Joby Talbot, Grant Gordon, Simon Little, Stuart “Pinkie” Bates and many others. The band struggled to gain success but all was in vain. The first real success came to them with a release of their 1996 album Casanova and particularly of the single "Something for the Weekend". But the real breakthrough happened in 1998 when the band released the album Fin de siècle. It spawned such hit singles like singles “Generation Sex”, “The Certainty of Chance” and “National Express”. The latter has become the band’s most successful song charted very well and reached number 8. From our site, you can download both these albums by Divine Comedy in mp3.
