Biography

David Bromberg is an American folk and folk rock musician and singer-songwriter. He was born on September 19, 1945, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the beginning, he had professional relationships with various artists including Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson, Jorma Kaukonen, Jerry Garcia, and Bob Dylan among others. He also collaborated with George Harrison on his song "The Holdup". In the late 1960s, he signed a contract with Columbia Records label and began recording his debut album. The Devil's Anvil was released in 1969 and it received generally positive reviews from critics. Five years later, he released his most successful album, Wanted Dead or Alive, which produced several singles such as "Holdup", "Someone Else's Blues", "Danger Man" and "Main Street Moan".
