Daughtry is an American alternative rock and pop rock band that was formed in 2006 by American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry. The band consists of Chris Daughtry, Josh Steely, Josh "JP" Paul, Joey Barnes and Brian Craddock. Chris is a singer-songwriter himself and has collaborated with several other songwriters, such as Live's Ed Kowalczyk, Fuel's Carl Bell, 3 Doors Down's Brad Arnold, Matchbox Twenty's Rob Thomas, SR-71's Mitch Allan, Shinedown's Brent Smith, and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger. The band quickly gained popularity with their breakthrough album, Daughtry (2006), which debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 and has been certified 4 times platinum by RIAA.
