Darius Rucker is an American rock, R&B and country singer-songwriter. He was born on May 13, 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. He also known as a member of rock band Hootie & the Blowfish. He gained popularity as a solo singer with the album, Learn to Live (2008), which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. It produced several singles such as "Don't Think I Don't Think About It", "It Won't Be Like This for Long" and "Alright". The album's first single, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It", became the first number one country single by a solo African American artist since Charley Pride's 1983 hit "Night Games".
