Biography

Crucifix was an American hardcore punk and rock band that was formed in 1980 and consisted of Sothira Pheng (Vocals), Jimmy Crucifix (Guitar), Bryce Kanights (Bass), Matt Borruso (Bass), Christopher Douglas (Drums), Drew Bernstein (Guitar) and Jake Smith (Guitar). They quickly gained popularity in 1983 with their breakthrough debut album, Dehumanization, which later became one of the most influential classic anarcho-punk records. It also spawned several singles such as, "How When Where", "Skinned Alive", "Prejudice", "No Limbs" and "Another Mouth to Feed". Many songs from this album were covered by famous artists and bands including the British electronic duo Orbital, the American rock band A Perfect Circle, heavy metal band Sepultura and hardcore punk band Aus-Rotten.
