Biography

Irish rock band The Cranberries comes from Limerick, Ireland. The band was formed in 1989 under the name The Cranberries Show Us but the name was shortened in 1990. The current band members are Dolores O'Riordan (vocals, composer, lyrics, guitar, keyboards, mandolin, flute), Noel Anthony Hogan (composer, guitar, mandolin, back vocals), Michael Gerard Hogan (bass guitar), Fergal Patrick Lawler (drums) and Steve DeMarchi (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals). The band was one of the most popular rock acts in 1990s having released three consecutive platinum albums beginning from the debut one Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? The next album No Need to Argue has become the most popular one in the band’s career spawning the hit single number “Zombie”. The mainstream audience usually associates the band with this song.
