American metal band Cacophony was from San Francisco, California, the United States. The band was founded in 1986 by two guitarists Marty Friedman and Jason Baker. They recruited other members to complete the line-up but it wasn’t stable and the changed several drummers and bassists. Some other members were Peter Marrino - vocals, Jimmy O'Shea - bass, Atma Anur - drums and others. The band was playing speed metal, heavy metal and neo-classical. In 1989, they disbanded as Friedman decided to join successful thrash metal act Megadeth and Becker joined David Lee Roth’s supporting band. During their career, the band created two studio albums. The debut effort Speed metal Symphony was released in 1987. The album features hard rock mixed with classical style and the general music sounds fast, melodic and technical.
