American composer, pianist and singer Burt F. Bacharach was born on May 12, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri, the United States. Bacharach rose to fame in collaboration with lyricist Hal David. They wrote many pop hits especially for Dionne Warwick. The peak of Bacharach’s career was from the early 1960s till the end of the 1980s. The breakthrough to the success happened at the end of 1950s when he and David wrote two consecutive very successful songs. “The Story of My Life” was recorded by Marty Robbins and reached number one on the US Country charts. The following song “Magic Moments” was recorded by Perry Como becoming number 4 in the US and number 1 in the UK. Since then Bacharach established his name in the music industry and wrote songs for many artists including Tom Jones, Cialla Black and others.
