Biography

Body Count is an American rap metal, crossover thrash and hardcore punk band that was founded in 1990 by Ice-T. He is best known as a hip hop artist. He decided to organize the band out of his own interest in heavy metal. Later, Mooseman, Beatmaster V and D-Roc joined the band. The group's current line-up consists of Ice-T (vocals), Bendrix (rhythm guitar), Ernie C (lead guitar), Vincent Price (bass) and O.T. (drums). They began with the appearance at Lollapalooza in the early 1990s. Later, the band appeared on Ice-T's solo album, O.G. Original Gangster. They gained popularity in the early 1990s with their self-titled debut album, which peaked at number 26 on the Billboard 200. Body Count also spawned three singles, "There Goes the Neighborhood", "Body Count's in the House" and "The Winner Loses".
