Biography

Walden Robert Cassotto, known better as his stage name Bobby Darin, was born on May 14, 1936 in Bronx, New York, the United States and died on December 20, 1973 in Los Angeles, California, the U.S. He was an American rock and roll and country singer-songwriter and actor. During his short life he released numerous albums and hit singles and made a career in the film industry. One of his most famous compositions are Splish Splash, Queen of the Hop, Dream Lover, Mack the Knife, Beyond the Sea, You Must Have Been Beautiful Baby and some others. Darin has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and in Hit Parade Hall of Fame. He was the winner of Golden Globe Award in the nomination “Best Male Actor Debut”, and the winner of French Film Critics Awards in the category “Best Actor”.
