Bruno Mars, real name Peter Gene Hernandez was born on October 8, 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is an American singer-songwriter and music producer performing in such genres like Pop, alternative hip hop, soul, rock, and R&B. He was born in the musical family where everyone sings and plays instruments and he performed shows with his father’s band. After he finished high school he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career. At first he was music producer and wrote songs for Alexandra Burke, Travie McCoy, Adam Levine, Brandy, and Sean Kingston, as well as Flo Rida. He reached prominence as a solo artist featuring on B.o.B.’s "Nothin' on You" and Travie McCoy's "Billionaire". He released his debut solo album Doo-Woops & Hooligans in October 2010.
