British boyband JLS (stands for Jack the Lad Swing) was founder in 2007. The band consists of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan "JB" Gill and Oritsé Williams. They rose to the national fame finishing second at the popular TV contest show The X Factor. The first was Alexandra Burke. The band caught an eye of major labels and they signed to Epic Records. The debut self-titled album was released in 2009 and since then it went on triple Platinum in the UK. The band spread their popularity in Ireland and in other European countries. The album topped the UK Albums chart, the UK R&B chart and Irish chart. The two of three singles became number one in the UK - "Beat Again" and "Everybody in Love". The band was nominated for many awards and won two BRITS Awards, two MOBO Awards, Urban Music Awards, and BBC Switch Live Awards.
