Serbian Celtic rock and Irish folk band Orthodox Celts was formed in Belgrade, Serbia in 1992. The band’s founder members are Dušan Živanović (accordion), Ana Đokić (violin) and Dejan Lalić (mandolin, banjo, tin whistles). The current band’s line-up consists of Aleksandar Petrović (vocalist, band’s frontman), Ivan Brusić (sound engineer), Vladan Jovković (guitar, backing vocals), Dejan Lalić (mandolin, banjo, tin whistles, back vocals), Dejan Popin (flute), Dušan Živanović and (drums and percussion) of Milena Simijonović (violin). The band is considered one of the most popular acts on the Serbian rock scene. They made Celtic culture and music more popular in Serbia, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day every year with a big concert.
