American alternative rock, pop rock and acoustic musician and singer-songwriter Kristopher Neil Allen, better known as Kris Allen was born on June 21, 1985 in Jacksonville, Arkansas, the United States. He rose to the national fame winning the eighth season of the American Idol. During his childhood, he lernt how to play viola and was very successful as he joined the Arkansas all-state orchestra. When he was 13, he taught himself to play guitar. He and his brother Daniel auditioned for American Idol and only Kris was accepted. During the contest, he performed such songs as Stevie Wonder’s “For Once in My Life”, Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror”, Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love”, the Beatles’ “Come Together”, and others.
