Florence Welch known as Florence and the Machine (or Florence + The Machine) is a soul/indie/alternative singer. The Machine are the musicians who support her during the performances. Current line-up consists of Robert Ackroyd (guitar), Christopher Lloyd Hayden (drums), Isabella Summers (keyboards) and Tom Monger (harp). BBC played a crucial role in the popularization of Florence’s works. They spotlighted her in the BBC Introducing and this allowed her to participate in some major festivals like Glastonbury , Reading and Leeds. The debut album Lungs released on June 6, 2009 reached #2 on UK album chart and was 3d in Ireland. Florence has already got the BRIT Award for Critic’s Choice.
